Liberatory Leadership's first-ever Hackathon — Hack the Movement! ✊🏾

What are the challenges within our movement organizations and communities, and how might we creatively solve them?

Description

You're invited to participate in Liberatory Leadership's first-ever Hackathon β€” Hack the Movement! βœŠπŸΎ

This exciting 3-day virtual experience is centered on the themes of Radical Governance and Resilient Communities, designed to strengthen our CTWO ecosystem and inspire new, holistic, and creative approaches to freedom.

Why it's important:
This isn't just another event β€” it's a chance for all of us to reimagine what's possible within our movements, organizations, and communities. By experimenting with new tools, frameworks, rituals, and relationships, we'll practice what it means to lead liberatorily from the inside out β€” transforming how we work together to create lasting, equitable change.

Why it's fun:
You'll join forces with fellow staff, fiscally sponsored partners, and Praxis Cohort alumni to form dynamic, cross-functional teams. Over three days, you'll brainstorm, design, and pitch your big idea β€” whether it's a digital innovation, creative campaign, new structure, or cultural ritual.
And yes… there's a little friendly competition.

What's a Hackathon?
Traditionally, hackathons are spaces for rapid innovation and collaboration β€” but this one is all about hacking for liberation. We're asking: What are the challenges within our movements organizations, and communities, and how might we creatively solve them?

Your "HACK" can be:

  • Digital: app, website, or toolkits

  • Physical: affirmation decks, safety tools, or creative materials

  • Structural: frameworks, curricula, or decision-making models

  • Cultural: rituals, artistic activations, or storytelling campaigns
